We developed an elaborate Virtual Reality Training Program for our client to provide virtual training on agricultural equipment. The project involved simulating real-world agricultural scenarios with variable components such as weather, soil conditions, multiple pieces of machinery, etc.
We employed the Unity Game Engine & Blender for the project to deliver a meticulous training program that worked on all major VR devices.
Agriculture is a reasonably unpredictable profession. Each phase, from land development to sowing seeds to caring for the delicate crop, involves a number of steps, making it uncertain and difficult. Hence, those working in the field or with farming machinery require extensive knowledge and abilities that can be used in a host of scenarios.
Our client in the agricultural business needed a comprehensive VR Training Program with varying life-like scenarios to simultaneously train multiple people on Farming & Agricultural Machinery.
Additionally, the simulation needed to factor in different variables, such as weather, soil, and crops as well as various machineries like tractors, trailers, and harvesters, as well as tools like cultivators or planters.
We needed to develop a comprehensive and meticulous training program. We had to thoroughly research the intricate agricultural workflow and comprehend the ground realities. Our training module accomplished its goals by covering a variety of weather situations, soil quality, and equipment operation.
Since it was an elaborate training program for a number of scenarios, we had to make sure that the simulation successfully delivered the desired outcome each time. As well, the outcome should correspond to the changing inputs in the process. For this, we ran a rigorous testing program to ensure that everything is in line.
To deliver the turnkey solution, we had to conduct extensive industry research, understand the ground reality and nuances of the profession, and then rigorously test it for all scenarios. More importantly, we had to do it in a limited time frame, and we successfully achieved our goal.
Our diligent efforts bore great results. The client was highly impressed with how expertly we incorporated a wide range of virtual agricultural scenarios in the VR training program.
The value VR provides is unmistakable when used appropriately. The more people you train, the higher your return will likely be in terms of ‘time saved’ during training. The program helped in thoroughly understand different agricultural techniques and adapt to different conditions. Understanding when and how to operate different machinery resulting in high yield and business growth.

Trainee were 275% more confident to apply skills learned after VR training.
What took two hours to learn earlier could be learned now in only 30 minutes using VR.
The trainees were 1.5 times less distracted during the VR Training.
VR learning should be a part of most firms’ blended learning & training programs as Immersive Technologies evolve and remote work increases. When done right, Virtual Reality offers a human-centered experience and technological boost that increases productivity without compromising quality.
